BEHY was born out of a simple observation: after his children’s hockey games, Bruno Gervais, a former NHL player, couldn’t find any sports drink he felt comfortable giving them. Together with his friends Maxime Talbot and Étienne Boulay, and drawing on the expertise of Patrick Cool and Jean-François Lorrain, they decided to create the solution they would have wanted to offer their kids: healthy, effective, and free of artificial additives.

The answer?

Maple. Naturally rich in functional sugars and electrolytes, this iconic Quebec ingredient has become the heart of BEHY.

Launched in April 2024, BEHY paves the way for a new era of sports hydration, for athletes of all ages, while respecting their true nature.

MAXIME TALBOT

Maxime has played more than 1,000 professional hockey games over the course of his career. He played for the Penguins, the Flyers, the Avalanche, and the Bruins before retiring in 2016 in Russia. In 2009, he played a pivotal role in the Penguins’ Stanley Cup Final victory, scoring both goals that secured a 2-1 win for his team in Game 7 against the Detroit Red Wings. Maxime is considered one of the most beloved and respected hockey players of his generation. He now aims to make his mark as an entrepreneur by becoming an ambassador for brands such as MANA and, of course, BEHY.

ETIENNE BOULAY

In 2005, Étienne was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes as a defensive back and quickly became one of the team’s key players. He won the Grey Cup with the Alouettes in 2009 and 2010. After his professional football career, Étienne turned to the media. The former Montreal Alouettes player recently made waves in the business world by co-founding Atypique, a Quebec-based non-alcoholic beverage company.

BRUNO GERVAIS

In 2003, Bruno was drafted by the New York Islanders in the NHL Entry Draft. He spent most of his career with the Islanders, playing for the team from 2005 to 2012. Recognized as one of the best teammates a team could have, Bruno possesses a contagious desire to learn and excel. Since retiring from hockey, Bruno has been deeply involved in hockey in Quebec and in various charitable initiatives. He serves as Director of Partner Relations for Groupe Respect, and you’ve probably already seen him on RDS!
